Diamond is the hardest natural substance known to man. When electro-brazed to the tip of specially designed hollow core drills, it offers the highest performance and the longest life even when drilling the hardest porcelain plus ceramic, marble or granite tiles. Because of the Hollow Core design they remove far less material, up to *75% less material on the large size drills, compared to tungsten carbide. Diamond cuts a much cleaner hole with a greatly reduced risk of damage to the tile. Diamond also offers better value. Although initially more expensive to buy, diamond drills keep on working long after tungsten carbide drills have worn out. On a cost per hole basis, diamond wins every time.
