For over 35 years Plasplugs has been designing, developing and manufacturing award winning products for the DIY enthusiast and trade use. Tools that are easy-to-use, technically advanced and offer many unique patented design features offering unrivalled performance for its price.
The company was founded by Stuart Turner in 1973 after he invented the first plastic fixing which also accepted four different screw sizes. With the outstanding success of this product the founder then decided in the late 70’s to move into decorating tools and tiling tools. This was an astute decision as the UK DIY market was just starting to take hold. During the 80’s further ranges were developed with particular emphasis on our tiling and ranges. This re-enforced the foundation of Plasplugs being the number 1 in tiling tools for the UK.In the 1990’s Plasplugs developed its first range of powered tiling tools. Now on the 3rd generation, Plasplugs is still committed to providing what our present and future customers want.
Plasplugs pride themselves on there product innovation, always looking to design & develop solutions to make DIY tasks quick and easy. To facilitate our continued product developement we use state of the art computer added design to bring our ideas to life, before producing rapid prototype models. Rapid prototyping allows us to create exact working models of our products which in turns allows us to check & test the product before going ahead with the manufacture of injection moulding tools. This substantially lowers the time it takes to bring product to market and also reduces the development costs considerably.
We also have our own in house photographic studio & graphic design department that handle 100% of our graphic requirements. We are continuely updating our product packaging designs to keep our ranges looking fresh & uptodate. Using the latest industry standard computers & software we are able to turn around product packaging, labels & point of sale displays quicker than ever before.
